Medicines costs 6000 per month for lifetime – any health insurance available?

Hi

My brother is having some problem in kidney and doctors said no treatment is available. They said he has to use medicines to avoid further damage. Medicines cost 6000 per month and doctors said he has to use life long.We checked with 3-4 doctors and everyone said same.

My brothers employer provided health insurance but only upto claim of 5000 per annum. since he is not hospitalized ,no further claim is possible from that health insurance company

Is there any health insurance company which helps us in this regard, Per annum costs take the amount to 72000, can any one suggest some help to reduce this cost

    Hi,

As it’s a Pre-existing disease & no hospitalisation will be there, you will not get the cover from Health Insurance companies.

At best you can try to search if there’s any cheaper drug available using http://www.medguideindia.com/ also try to get the drugs through dealer directly wherein you may get some good discounts. Also read this http://www.moneylife.in/article/get-your-medicines-at-60-discount/28578.html.

Dear Xtremeinfo, please contact a general insurance agent and look for the plan on offer. You may contact medimanage people alternatively.

    Thanks
