Hi All,

I recently came accross a post on subramoney.com where he quoted that “if Wipro shares was bought in 1980 for value 10000, it would have now valued 342 crores..!!”

I just want to know that whether the history can repeat itself looking to our economy?

I am just 25/- I still have time to make such an investment.. 🙂

i would like to know your views and opinions!

thanks,

Rajan

      Dear Ranjan,

Hindsight is always 20-20. Though investment in Wipro theoretically was profitable how many investors made money is something to look at.
But has Wipro delivered in last 5 years, 10 years. Problem with data is that you can always find something to prove.
Times have changed (so much information, so many companies) so finding a company which makes one crorepati is difficult.
Remember there are no shortcuts in life!

  3. Dear Ranjan, yes it’s possible. But the million Dollar question is how ‘ll you identify the next Wipro or Next Hero honda or Next Bharti or Next Infy or Next Reliance?

If you think you can clearly identify the next Big thing, you are most welcome to do it.

    thanks

we will know that 33 years from now when you are 58years old and in year 2046.

  5. Ashish Garg says:

    Dear Ranjan,

The past performance of any stock is never guaranteed for future. Similarly no one can foresee how a particular stock will perform in next 25-30 years.

If someone today ask you to invest 10,00,000 today in an unknown share (which was possibly the case with WIPRO in 1980 and Rs.10,000 then are almost like Rs.10,00,000 today) telling you that your money will come 1000 crores in 30 years, what would you do, and mind you there is no guarantee attached.

Think over it. Invest wisely and not what just reports are saying.

    Ashish
