Liquid funds —- guidance needed

Hi,

   As I am new to liquid funds, could u pls answer the following questions:

1) What is the tenure of liquid funds?

2) What return can one expect from them?

3) What is the minimum and maximum amount that can be invested?

4) Also, pls suggest some good liquid funds..

    Manish….rest all is fine, but i dont think liquid funds provide 5-7% category returns. With such returns, they will start faring against fixed deposit due to their better tax treatment.

    Stating 4.5-5.5% percent would be better.

    i think, where ‘institutional’ is in name, it requires large minimum a/m. so there may be a little more return, it is not for retail investor like us.

  3. 1) You dont have to bother for tenure , for you its liquid in all time frames, so you can buy them and sell it whenever you want .

    2) 5-7%

    3) Minimum investments depend on particular MF , but it would be around 5-10k , like HDFC Liquid has 10k
