LIC online term plan scrapped? – Article

Hi Team,

I was planning to get a Term cover for SA 1 crore split in 2 cos (LIC and private player) – for 50 lacs each. Though I have already zeroed down on the Private player, I came across this article where it mentions that LIC has shelved to launch an online plan. Does any one know if this is confirmed or heard about it?

    It was all over the news and Manish also wrote about this. It is over a year now and as the article says the agents will feel threatened and would have objected. So I am inclined to believe this is unlikely to happen. LIC doesnt care. They enough takers to buy bad products!

    Not sure but had no idea that LIC was planning to launch an online term plan.
