what is ur opinion about icici pru focussed blue chip ,it has given better result than all other since inceptiion ie last 3 yrs.

The main reason it has given better results than all other funds in the category has something to do with the date of inception of the fund i.e. may 2008…. As you may remember that indian equities started its downward journey from jan 2008 and hence some of the blue chip stocks was available dirt cheap when the fund started to invest i.e. between may 2008 and dec 2008 which given bit of advantage in terms of returns when compared to other blue chip funds in the category. (This situation is akin to the situation like in 100 m race,a player starts competing from 30 meters while other players started from starting point).
I would prefer to go with proven performer like Franklin india blue chip or DSPBR Top 100 which have seen lot of market ups and down & proven its mettle. what u say?
