KYC for LPG consumers

POSTED BY PANKAJ ON November 3, 2012 6:49 pm COMMENTS (10)

Guys, Just got an useful information wrt KYC for existing LPG consumers. As we know that Govt has mandated to submit Know Your Coustomer aka KYC to your authorized LPG distributers, deadline for which has been extended till 15th Nov 2012.

Actually its mandated to submit KYC for those consumers who are holding more than one connection for same address.

Consumers who have single connection for same address they need not to submit KYC.

Pankaj

One can visit Indane/HP etc website and see if their consumer number is mentioned there under ‘Multiple Connection’. If yes, then only KYC is needed.

  3. Guys , This totally depends on your LOCAL gas connection center . Not all places are following the central single rule .

I just called my guy , and they said that “EVERYONE” has to submit it by 15th of this one. So now I need to rush for that !.. huh

You also call your local center from where you get your gas !

      Dear Manish,
I visited my Indane distributer @ Bangalore and myself and other guys who came for submitting KYC got the same response from him.
He asked my subscriber/customer ID then he explained me the whole thing(As I mentioned above).
Yes its true that I am not sure about other regions and other OMCs.

        Hi,

I have gone through this link ” http://dcmstransparency.hpcl.co.in/TransparencyPortal/Transparency/Transparency.aspx ” to know whether i need to fill KYC or not. There it showing my father & me don’t have multiple connection.

So we don’t need to fill KYC Form?

And i request you to take a look at below link because i am confused .

    Hi.

What if many families stay in same address ( Rent Home ) ?

    Thanks,
    Sekhar

    1. PANKAJ says:

      @ Sekhar,
If they stay in same address I mean Independent house then their door number/flat number would be different so they need not to submit KYC, otherwise if that also same then yes they need to submit KYC.
One more update “The oil ministry has decided to lift the cap of six subsidised LPG cylinders for flats with reticulated gas connection irrespective of the number of dwelling units in it.”

      @ Sekhar,
Yes if you and your Parent have two different connections for same address. This rule applies to those couples also who have two connections for same address.
