  1. Narayan says:

8 years and 7 months is the tenure for which a KVP was being issued. Once you have completed this tenure you can redeem your investments. However, if you wish to withdraw earlier; you can do so at a pre-fixed amount as prescribed by the KVP rules after 2 years and 6 months of holding to the KVP.
You will have to go to the same post office from where you purchased these to withdraw/redeem them.

  3. Dear Bhupesh Kumar, sorry, I forget to add, you may get the pre maturity amount from the KVP itself (stamped there) or from the local P. O.

thanks Ashal, very much thanks to you

  4. Dear Bhupesh Kumar, You can redeem the same even now from the same P.O. where these were purchased. The normal maturity ‘ll be in 8Y 7 months time i.e. May 2016. You ‘ll get the double of your original amount i.e. 4L Rs. maturity amount.

    Premature withdraw is possible.

    Thanks

    Ashal
