I have applied for online term policy from ICICI – iProtect on 27th Sep 2010. But, till now the policy has not been issued. I tried to contact the local branch office and also get in touch with ICICI customer care center to know the policy status. I also wrote a mail to ICICI customer care. I got reply to my first mail stating that they will revert back to me shortly but no further reply. Pls let me know what to do in such circumstances.

Thats quite strange. I also had applied for the iProtect Plan but I got it instantly. Infact they are the fastest to revert.
What you can do however is that call up their toll free number 1800 22 2020 and i think they should replay back asap.
for icici prudential they have grievance mechanism .Below i have put their text .
You can try do not know if it works.

MY IMPRESSION IS: ALMOST ALL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANIES, PARTICULARLY WHERE YOU FOUND THE PREMIUM ATTRACTIVE, ARE THE LEAST SERIOUS TO SELL TERM INSURANCE !IT IS JUST AS MAKETING TOOL FOR THEIR OHER PRODUCTS!
After our death our loved ones will keep on visiting their local branch and esclating etc. There is nothing we can do at that time either.

Quite a few members have had bad experience with the Iprotect plan due to poor customer service. I too canceled the policy and got refund after 2 months, was tired falling up with them every now and then.
Keep visiting their local branch and follow-up or escalate this issue. There is nothing much you can do.
