Is this preventive health checkup deduction(Section 80D) applicable for FY 2013-14 (AY 2014-15)?

    yes it is , you can claim a max of 5K (Sec 80D)for preventive health checkup expenses. The max deductions allowed under sec 80D is 15K , so in case your medical premium costs 15k then you won’t be able to claim any amount for preventive health checkup expenses.
