Is it all about Maths?

Hello Everyone,

I have recently enrolled myself for the CFP Course and my classes will begin in October. Can anyone please share, what level or topics of Maths is/ are required for a CFP Course. The issue is that I have been an average student of Maths. I have studied Maths till Xth Standard (CBSE Board), after that I opted for Informatics Practices.

It would be of great help, if you can share your inputs, as I would like to learn/ brush up my skills in Maths before the commencement of my classes.

Thanking all of you in advance!

Kind Regards,

J

    Hello Manish & Ashal,

Thanks a lot for the information.

You guys are doing fantastic work in bringing a change in the thought process of people when it comes to financial planning.

@Manish: Your article regarding quitting the Job has boosted my confidence for the same 😉

    Thanks again!

    Kind Regards,

  2. Dear J, the basic or should I say elementary mathematics is required which is already there from your 10 STD. days. Also, a lot of technical help is available now a days to each of us in the form of computers.

Yes, a personal taste in mathematics ‘ll help.

    Thanks

    Ashal

  3. Dont worry much about it . The level of maths used is not extra ordinary . If it was required, it would be one of the prerequirements .

You will be able to qualify . But having mathematical and analytics abilities definately help .
