With the markets looking to march ahead after the recent fall is it a good time to invest in real estate stocks which are cheaper by 30 to 50 % of what it was a couple month back. Specifically how do you value stocks like DB Realty (from 400 to 200). HDIL (from 280 to 180), Unitech( from 90 to 60) ?

At this time market is above 20K but real estate stocks has corrected rather than participating in this rally because of LIC housing finance scam. Although, this scam is not associated with all the real estates companies, investors are avoiding almost all real estates stock in fear of loosing money. I think this issue is short term. If you are long term investor, I will suggest you to include some good real estate stock in your portfolio as they are available at cheaper price.
So you think its fine to invest now or is there more downside left in them?
Real estate stocks will test patience in the short run but over a long period of time you can get decent returns. I have invested in DLF, HDIL nad Unitech.
