Hi All,

Is investing in Sector MF like pharna, IT, transport, etc good option to invest instead of shares. I wanted to invest in share market and I even invested some amount. However, investing in shares is not an easy call. You have to really read a lot and take good risk. I really cant give so much effort in all this. Instead I thought, investing in sector wise MF can be a good option. I am planning to invest 1k p.m. in different sectors. In this was I will have 4k SIP per month.

Please give your thoughts on it.

Note : I already am investing in 5 MF per month : Large, Midcap, Diverse,Balanced and Liquid.

Sectoral funds are indeed very risky…. depends on the sector you select and the fluctuations are high compared to a diversified equity fund….
