Hi,

I need your suggestion regarding the investments i want to make expecting short term returns. I have already made an SIP of Rs.2000 for 3 yrs in HDFC Top 200 Fund. I\’m looking to invest another Rs 40k-60k/year in 3 more Equity Diversified funds either through SIP/lumpsum. Out of the 3 i want to invest in 1 fund which will give me Maximum returns for a period of 1-2 years, the second for a period of 3yrs and the third with a time frame of 5 yrs. Could you please help me in choosing the right funds? Thanks in advance

My suggestions based on the limited data:
for a period of 1-2 years= short-term debt or dynamic bond fond (eg. birla sunlife dynamic bond fund) or a fixed maturity plan of similar duration.
for 3 years = debt oriented hybrid plan. eg Reliance MIP or HDFC MIP Long term or Franklin Templeton Dynamic PE ratio fund.
for 5 years= equity oriented hybrid plan or large cap fund. eg. HDFC prudence/DSPBR Top 100/Franklin Templeton Blue Chip fund.
