Investment Portfolio for young professionals?

POSTED BY shaileshbhatt ON June 11, 2014 12:04 pm ONE COMMENT

I am 24 year professional earning about Rs.30000. I manage to save around 30% of my salary every month.I already have a RD account and have been contributing around 5000/- towards it for the past 10 months. It is due to end in 2 months and I would like to now start investing in stocks/Mutual funds or any other investment option available to accumulate wealth. My risk potential is high.

I don’t have any debts or any other liabilities. Main aim of investment is to accumulate a huge corpus post retirement, keeping in mind I will be working for the next 30 years or so. Please advice on the portfolio I should maintain?

    Dear Shailesh Bhatt,

Are you sure your purpose of investment is ONLY retirement ?
I mean you must be having short-medium term goals (higher studies, travel, owning a vehicle/house, marriage, business etc.), do you have enough corpus for that ? If you decide on this first, you can then break your investment depending on your needs (short-medium-long)

Even if your risk potential is high, don’t directly jump into any investment. Take some time to LEARN about various investment options, risks associated, possible returns, duration of investment,
