   regarding your problem.

   If this doesn’t work best is to hire a CA to go to the assessing officer in your IT circle find the status and log a complaint and get the refund processed.
   In any case it will take a while

   Thanks for your prompt revert – I thought I was clear in my query, but perhaps not. So here goes, let me repeat – I had a pending IT refund of 2008-2009 in Chennai, which according to website was posted to my Chennai address but got returned as we were no longer living there and had moved to Mumbai. Since then, I through a tax consultant tried to have the refund cheque resent to my new address but failed inspite of he submitting a change of address application to ITO on my behalf through limited POA. And now we are no longer in Mumbai, having shifted to Dubai in 2010 – the consultant has stopped responding meaningfully and its clear that he has given up on the case. Can any informed investor suggest how I can get my long pending IT refund sorted out without personally having to visit Chennai? Thanks!
