my total income = 402588 i have 100000 in 80c.no housing loan.in this case in my form16 no refund .one of my friend with same status filed his return by some firm and in his itrv he is getting around 5000 rs as refund.they reduced his total income around 50000.in which section they reduced this?

      Dear VibinDas, Please post the heads of your salary slip. Only after knowing this info< I can tell which one is non taxable & which one is taxable.

    Dear Vibindas, with out knowing the exact details punched in that ITR form, no body can say from where the refund has been generated.

    There may be a case of under reporting of Income.
