How to start with investments and increasing capital for a beginner?

Hi, I’m 21 years old and just started working as a software dev, I have minimal knowledge about investments, equity funds etc . I want to utilize my money which is piling up in my bank account and make  good profit on investments. I have just opened a RD of Rs 1000 after reading the article on Recurring Deposits.

Please guide me…

    Go through the articles by Manish on different investments like Mutual Funds, Equities, PPF etc.. First understand these and invest in ones which fits you.
