How to find Possession Certificate to give as Investment Proof in my company ?

Hello Friends,

I have a query regarding the Investment Proof Submission initiated in our organisation.

I have a Home loan and I have shown the same in my Investment declaration at the start of the Financial year 2013-14. Now the time has come for the Investment Proof Submission.

Here Finance team are asking me for the following details to submit if Housing Loan is mentioned while declaration.

1. Interest Certificate
2. Possession Certificate.

Here is my question. What is POSSESSION CERTIFICATE and from where can I get this.

Please suggest me in this and pull me out of TAX EVIL.

    Dear Kaushik, yes this ownership certificate is the same Possession letter your employer is asking for.

    Dear Kaushik, if you are already living in your house, your builder must have provided this Possession certificate to you. give the copy of the same to your employer. Please contact your builder for this Possession letter.

      Dear Ashal, Thanks for the reply.
      I forgot to mention, our house is built by us its an independent house. By the way we have got a letter from our Muncipality Office, but on the top of the letter its written “OWNERSHIP CERTIFICATE”. So I just wanted to confirm if this Ownership and Possession certificate are one and the same.
