Dear Sumedh, earlier it was 15-20Y and now it’s 20-25Y. So be it. Please invest in a mix of Debt and Eq. as per your own comfort level. If you can take risk of all out Eq. investment, please opt the same through Eq. MFs. Else go for a mix of debt and Eq.

Dear Ashal,
Nothing special, actually want to save money as much as i can for that i set a target value of 3 cr ,i think after 20-25 years this money will helpful for my retirement/children education etc.as of now i have only home loan & after monthly expenses i can invest upto 30k per month.

Dear Sumit, thanks for pointing out my mistake. Yes I indeed calculated for 1Cr. Rs. target amount.

Dear Sumedh, as the amount is 3X (3 Crore), you need to invest 3 times of my mentioned mly amount. Can you invest that much amount on mnly basis? Please answer.

Equity is the best option for long term wealth creation in India. for such a long term 15-20 years equity can not go wrong.
But as you seems not having much knowledge about share market, do not go for direct equity investment. Go for mutual fund route, where Fund Manager will take the decision for you. But if you have time and interest then start learning to invest in stocks, but with small money that you can afford to loose, trust me if you can learn well you will be benefited in longer run.

But Mutual fund is always the safer option. Before start investing know more about asset allocation (what % to equity, what % to fixed income, and gold etc), and then create a balanced portfolio of the ratio of equity and fixed income ratio you are comfortable with. Consider PPF, Debt funds in your debt/fixed income component.
And create a good mutual fund portfolio consisting 3-4 funds (could be 60% large cap and 40% small-mid cap).

Thanks Ashal & Sumit also would you pls suggest various options where to invest.

Hi,

I think Ashalanshu mistaken for 1 Cr in 15-20 years (weather Sumedh asked to build 3 Cr).

Here are the revised numbers:-

@ 10% in 15Y = Around Rs 73000.

@ 10% in 20Y = Around Rs 42000

@ 12% in 15Y = Around Rs. 63000

@ 12% in 20Y = Around Rs. 33000

Thanks

Dear Sumedh, here are the answers for your query.

@ 10% in 15Y, mly investment amount = 24000 Rs.

@ 10% in 20Y = 13100 Rs.

@ 12% in 15Y = 19900 Rs.

@ 12% in 20Y = 10050 Rs.

Thanks

Ashal
