How can we observe BreakOuts and BreakDowns in stock Prices… on what Parameters can we decide?

I daily see some of the stocks giving BreakOuts and BreakDowns, Can anyone throw some light on how and using which indicators can we find such buying/selling oppurtunities in BreakOuts and BreakDown’s

    You will have to learn technical analysis to see those patterns using tools like Metastock or Amibroker
