Dear Rahul, You may visit to the MFs office in your city or RTA (CAMS or Karvy) to fill the form and submit it there. Nothing wrong in asking. Please keep asking here. this forum is meant for such queries.

I said debt fund to avoid exit load. As once the online investing is activated, you can move on to direct funds.

    Thanks

Dear Rahul, why not take help of customer care staff of franklin? Better option – Please invest 5K Rs. in a debt (liquid) fund in Franklin with a broker (even your bank). Once folio no. is allotted, ask for online transaction for direct investment.

    Thanks

      Thanks for your guidance Ashal.

I will call the customer care, good pointer. May be this is the way most of the first timer go ahead.

“Please invest 5K Rs. in a debt (liquid) fund in Franklin with a broker (even your bank)” – 1. Will it make the application procedure easier? (going via let’s say ICICI direct ; first going with ‘regular’ MF and then converting it to DIRECT). 2. Why debt fund ? I was thinking for equity.

Sorry if anything confusing I say, MF/financial things are new to me. Savings/investments I have been doing so far are PF/PPF/FD/RD/Insurance.
