   i agree ramesh for his views. however if you are interested, indian bank’s arogyaraksha of united india insurance for bank’s account holders cover maternity expense limited to 5% of sum insured. usual conditions apply.

   Bank of Rajasthan Ltd ( Now taken over by ICICI Bank Ltd) Policy for its account holders in rajasthan used to cover maternity cover
   Premium was Rs. 900 for 50000 cover
   and condition was take policy before del date

   now here point is insurance agent do not tell about these policies because unhe premium pe koi benefit nahin milta
   my insurance agent told me abt this policy when my wife was 3 month pregnant so no use for me

   so i am asking here ne of u guys know abt bank policies then let me know because they are available at very cheap rates

   I would suggest not to take any more health policies.
   Reasons:
   1. The premium of a maternity cover health policy is just an addon for you (so not important).
   2. the policy will only give you a particular maximum amount depending upon a normal delivery or cesarean surgery.
   3. That cover is applicable only after 2 or 4 years.
   4. The current policies will obviously cover any life-threatening conditions, in case that happens (not that we want it to happen).

   Please try to understand that the insurance company is not Naive, that it will give you more money than it can generate from a particular condition / disease, if it is very sure that you are going to make use of it (in this case, pregnancy).

   I don’t know any bank policies which offers maternity cover, but there’s one insurance policy by national insurance .. they offer maternity cover after 2 yrs. n they provide insurance policy till 80 yrs of age ..
