Dear Rajesh Pal, Please try to understand that the article is written as a generic advice & it’s not serving any specific case. Also add the fact that the author is an insurance broker himself (though medimanage), so his views may be biased. I may give counter answers for some of the points, if not all, raised by the author but in my opinion it’s futile to discuss that part.
Also it was you who demanded for a cheaper prem. product & that’s where these tie up policies came into picture. On first hand you were advised to go for normal family floater plans
Ultimately you w’d have to make a call.
Thanks
Ashal
Thanks Ashal
I have seen on oriental website, panjab natinal bank offers the health insurance for its account members where the premium lesser than the regular one in oriental . i dont have account in PNB . may be i need to open one SB account in PNB and keep minimum balance.
and also my confusion is to go or individual or family floater.
Thanks
Rajesh
Dear Rajesh, having a banking relationship with PNB is a precondition to get that policy. Please visit the nearest PNB branch for more details on the policy. In my opinion, you may go for a 3L rs. family floater plan as of now.
Thanks
Ashal
Thanks Ashal /Anand
max bupa premium is very high compared to other insurance company .which other insurance company i can choose .
Dear Rajesh, please check Oriental Insurance’s family floater policy.
Thanks
Ashal
Dear Rajesh, please do check with your banks also where you are maintaining SB/FD/RD/CA/OD accounts. Many banks now a days offer group health insurance policies to it’s account holders & family members. In this case the prem. is cheaper than the individual family floater taken from the same insurer.
Thanks
Ashal
Dear Rajesh, please opt at least 3L Rs. sum assured for family floater policy.
Thanks
Ashal
1 lakh sum assured is too less. Please reconsider this.
You may take max bupa family floater policy with total sum assured as 5 lakhs.
