Group medical insurance for dependant parent

Hi, I had a corporate group medical insurance which covers my parents too. I recently was sent by my organization to New Zealand for an assignment. Now, if I continue to be here till March 2011, then I think I will not get the chance to renew my current policy for the next year. My father is 70 years old. So, it will be difficult for him to get a medical insurance without going through corporate policy. Can someone help me how do I deal with this ?

    In that case, its better you take a mediclaim policy urgently.
    You can compare them online. National insurance Company is good and i have good experence with them.

    Hi Rakesh,

    I am not in the company payroll at India. I am with their payroll in NZ. So it is like I am not in the organization in India. So, the insurance will not be renewed.

    Sameer,

    If its a corporate group medical insurance then your employer will automatically renew it every year, well that’s how its done for most of the organizations.
    Not sure why your presence is required for renewal. Can you please elaborate more?
