Good portal for Online Trading which is reliable ?

Dear friends

I am new to Equity trading. I do have some Mutual funds. I would like to go for Online Equity trading portals. Can somebody pl. suggest me good portals that offer less / optimum charges. I heard about Fundsindia and money sights portals. Pl. through some light whether they are they safe and secure for the transactions.

Do the transactions through these online portals are safe? Any chances of siphoning out of money (without our knowledge) by these portals.

    Dear Jha, so should i assume that you understand all the skills required for investing in direct Eq? Please check this forum for similar queries asked multiple times in the past to get the name of broker.
