i am not replying the query, but draw your attention towards one important point that while you take insurance of your house , you should take for its construction replacement cost, i.e.without consideration of land value , which is more more than construction cost in metro, and class A cities.
There are quite a few companies who offer Householders policy namely National Insurance, Oriental Insurance and Iffko-tokio. I have heard good feedback from my friends about their experience with Iffko-tokio, their rates are reasonable. You can call the companies and get a quote from them. I too am looking for a house policy for myself.
