Hi Manish,
If I want to submit Form 15G for financial year 2012-13 (at the beginning of the year), what are the values that I need to mention in.
a. “previous year ending on” and.
b. “relevant to the assessment years”.

in points 3 & 4.

Do you know what is the meaning of “last assessed to Income Tax for Assessment year” in point 5 mean?

Regards,
-Praveen

    Thanks Ashal.
Regarding point 5, this is for my wife who does not have any regular income and hence not filed income tax return in the past.
So I think incase of point 5, it should be the alternative.

  2. Dear Praveen, taxation language, the current FY i.e. 2012-2013 ‘ll be called prev. year & the relevant Assessment year ‘ll be 2013-2014.

So the prev. year ‘ll end on 31st march 2013 in this case.

If you have filed your income tax return already or going to file for current AY i.e. 2012-2013, put this AY in the form else put the last filed ITR’s AY which is 2011-2012 in point 5.

    Thanks

    Ashal
