Form 15G every time I open a new FD?

Hi,

Is it necessary to provide a Form 15G every time I open a new FD? Eg. I have opened 5 FD’s in April 2013, and gave a form 15G with details of those 5 FD’s. Now if i open some more Fd’s thru the same Financial year, do i need to again furnish the details of the newly opened FD’s.

    Dear rishi, if the Form 15G is already there and FDs are to be opened in same branch, your form 15G is already mapped with your customer ID, PAN. hence you need not to reapply.

    I think, ideally you should be submitting this once in a financial year (better at the start of the year).

    Yes Rishi I am afraid you will have to do it for every interest bearing instrument to avoid TDS
