FD interest above Rs 10k, but overall income less than 1.5 lacs – Do we still need to pay income tax ?

hi,

My wife is a homemaker and if she earns interest of more than 10,000  in a year from from FD’s, would she ever need to file tax returns even if her salary is less than 2,00000 tax band.?

    No. TDS is not deducted at bank
