Experience with Experian credit report application

POSTED BY nsabhyankar ON August 27, 2014 12:51 pm ONE COMMENT

Hello all,

I recently applied for a credit report from Experian. I had sent a letter to the post office box address given on their website. However, the envelope was returned to me with ‘Box canceled’ written on it.

When I contacted Experian, they said that the box is in operation. What should I do now? How can I confirm who’s saying the truth?

Has anybody had a similar experience with Experian? Also, is it necessary to get a credit report from all the three bureaus? I have my CIBIL report (not the score) which is correct and fine.

    Dear Sir,

Please confirm with the bureau on the post office box address and intimate them about the “Box cancelled” envelope which was returned to you.

Also, although it is not necessary to obtain your report from all 3 credit bureaus, it is advisable to do so to ensure there are no discrepancies and errors in the reports.

    Regards,
