EPF Withdrawal requires indemnity bond

POSTED BY Anshul Gupta ON January 8, 2013 6:27 pm COMMENTS (2)

Dear All,

I applied for EPF withdrawal in 2011 but got no response. Through my RTI app in Oct 2012, I came to know my claim was returned back for want of indemnity bond, address & identity proof.

I would like to know which document will qualify as address proof as I live in a rented house. Also, I have changed my residence during this time. So, do I need to put a fresh withdrawal application ?

Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

    Hi Ashal,

Thanks for your reply. Original application was sent a year back so it is not possible not update now. Had it been easy to communicate with PF dept, then I would not have posted the question in this forum 🙂

Anyway, thanks for the list of documents.

    Regards,

  2. Dear Anshul, BSNL telephone bill, rent agrement + electricity bill in the name of landlord, bank statement, any of the above ‘ll be accepted as address proof.

In case you have changed your address in the meanwhile, please update the same in your original application. if PF people ask for fresh application, go for it.

    thanks

    Ashal
