Enquiry regarding PPF

Hi Team,

I have an query. Please help me out…

1. If I have a PPF acc running with SBI then is it possible to open PPF acc in ICICI? Do u feel PPF in ICICI is better/as good as SBI PPF?

2. What is the entry age of PPF? Can I open a PPf acc for new born baby or legally adopted baby of 2months?

    1. One individual can have only 1 PPF account. So you cannot open another account in ICICI bank. You can however transfer your PPF account in SBI bank to ICICI bank. There is technically no difference in PPF accounts in both banks. However, the personnel/staff/customer service would be only criteria that would make one bank better over another.

    2. Yes, even a newborn baby or 2 month old adapted baby can have PPF account if they have proper documents (Birth certificate and such)
