Does VPF comes under 80C ?

Does VPF comes under 80 C under income tax? If so what are the exemptions in the VPF amount. Can I keep 1 Lakh as my VPF.

    VPF is nothing but the voluntary contribution to PF account, so the tax treatment is same as in PF, comes under 80 C.
