Does laminating our important documents such as property doc. etc would hamper its genuinity because bank officials declined my house renovation loan since my documents were laminated. Guide me how to overcome with this problem because if i remove the lamination the document would ruin.

Dear Jitendra, please arrange copies of the docs from Govt. records and submit the same along with the papers available to you. Yes laminated papers raise a suspicion and hence loan may not be sanctioned.

    Thanks

a good color xerox once laminated looks very similar to original and hence makes it difficult to recognize. that is one of the major reasons why Banks do not prefer the laminated docs.

There are ways (obviously expensive) to de-laminate the papers. you need to search for a guy in your locality who can get it done. Alternatively talk to the bank and try to see how they can help you with supporting docs/notes etc
