Do i need to sign the FATCA form when invested in Quantum Tax Saving Fund ?

Hi

I have recently invested in Quantum Tax saving Fund(last week). Today i got a call from them asking me to sign the FATCA form and send it to them .Apparently this has been introduced in September this  year and only for new investors.I have not got calls from any other  mutual fund.I think  India is yet  to sign the tax agreement with USA.

I am a resident Indian.Do i have to sign the form? Please advice.Thanks in advance

    I had also asked this question to pattu of freefincal.
    This was his answer:
    Dr. Uma Shashikant confirmed that RI do not need to sign the FATCA
