Do I need to give my past insurance policy details while taking a new term plan ?

Hi

I am thinking of availing the Aegon term plan.I have a query – Do I have to give them details of all my past insurance policy details like endowment, accident insurance, etc  or I have to submit details of past “life insurance “only? And what about expired policies?

I have heard that companies use some database to check past policy details. Can an individual investor access those details of himself.I am asking because I have had quite some insurance policies enabled in the past. And I am not sure whether they are active or have expired.

When I took the iTerm plan, I was asked to disclose the details of all the policies irrespective of the status (in force, paid up or surrendered). Also, there was no way to mark the status.
