hi,

I need to make  the investment declaration for this financial year. Do i need to include the medical insurance cover given by the company and the PF in the investment declaration form of the employer? Also the rented accommodation agreement is in the name of my dad, mom and me. So the rent that i declare there should be the total (rent/3) right?

Dear Dprasad, if you are paying the prem. of the said insurance, it’s available for deduction. In case of PF, only the part deducted from your salary is available for deduction and you should declare both these in your declaration form.

Regarding Rent – Please provide details of the same. In case you, your parents all are living on rent for the same property with all names mentioned in the rent agreement, your own share ‘ll of course be 1/3rd if not defined already.

    Thanks

    Ashal
