Digital Signing Certificate for Income tax return

Hi,

        Is it essential to have digital signed certificate at the time of filing IT return.How to get it if required

    Dear Anurag, just to E-file income tax return, purchasing a Digital signature is not a good Idea. As of now, Digital signatures are costly (depending upon the intermediary) it may cost anywhere from 1500 Rs. to 3500 Rs. So drop the idea. 🙂

    Hi Anurag,

    For an individual, its not necessary to have a digital signature. The difference in having a digital signature is that, you don’t have to physically post the ITR Form V to CPC Bangalore. It can done electronically cos one has the digital signature.
