Hi Sir,

I have applied for home loan of Rs.6,25000  from State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur for 10 years.  Mine is construction linked plan. the bank has sanctioned the loan with moratorium period of 18 months. As per their calculation I hv to pay Rs.9205 for 102 months (commencing from 19th month).  If I do not go moratiroum period the EMI for 120 months would be 8346.  my question is if I starts paying Rs.8346 from day one, will the accumulated interest paid by me in both the situation (i.e. total interest paid for loan with moratorium or total interest paid for loan without moratorium)  be same.

Dear Yogesh, interest paid by you ‘ll be lower in no moratorium period i.e. for 8346 Rs. EMI, you ‘ll pay less interest over all.

    Thanks

    Ashal
