   I think BSE has wide range of stocks compared to NSE.

   Its just the exchange, you can buy a stock from any of the exchange. NSE has a wider range of stocks and the volumes are usually higher. But you will not find S and T group shares [lower-caps stocks] which are found only in BSE.

   There is no difference as far as company is concerned.

   Yes there is the difference in the price because the base year is different.

   Since BSE started way back so its base year is very old and so Index value is 20000 today.

   On the other hand NSE started later and so it has kept is base year according to that.
