Claim settllement of private insurance companies

Many have said on this forum somewhere that claim settlement ratio is not good of private companies. Please quote your authentic source for the same.

    Hi,

    I am planning to buy a term insurance policy. Will it be better to take it from HDFC Click 2 Direct or from LICI? As premium is lesser in case of HDFC Click2 Direct, it looks more lucrative, but will there be any problem for claim settlement from HDFC?

    If the claim settlement ratio of various companies are mentioned. I could find that Private sector is written but the company specific info is not avaialable.
