CIBIL ONLINE AUTHENTICATION

I went upto the CIBIL website tonight and made the payment for 470 INR. Beautiful thing is that, they do not have my authentication online(wonder how, given that SBI has my details for last 2+ years). So they have not given me the report. However, I am supposed to send the address proof and identity proof documents to them. This I get. Only confusion is that I don’t know whether mailing it is necessary or can I upload the scanned copies? Please help.

Also, I am asked to send an online score request form too. Now since I have made the payment already, isn’t that redundant?

    Well You will be surprised! Just a first time i visited CIBIL website to check out my credit score. i made a payment of 550 rs by my debit card. i got a message from my bank account for payment confirmation meanwhile i was about to direct to authentication page or any other i dont know. but suddenly i got page error n cudnt be able to next page. At all i made a successful payment n i cudnt be able to go on next stage of process as i dont have login id or password. because i havent received any mail confirmation as well. does anybody know would i able to go to next process as i made a payment…or i just lost my payment n have to do it once again…????? Your suggetions will highly appreciated.

    Dear sir,

    I have no loan no cc nothing.
    I went to take a fridge on finance

    There were 2 finance companies were offering me finance for fridge
    1) Tata capital
    2) Bajaj finance

    I checked with the Tata and they said I have a -1 score but they can offer me finance
    Now very next day I went with my documents.. Tata people were on leave so I request Bajaj people to proceed
    Bajaj checked and told me that my score is 652..
    I m surprised that how this could happen
    So I decided to check my score online and put the same details which I had provided to Bajaj people
    And online check showed authentication failed..

    Now my question is… What the hell is going on.. Who is right and who is wrong

    Please someone help me

    1. It might happen that they are seeing your score at two different places . There are 4 CREDIT BEAREU

  4. Dear Navneet, had you filed a dispute resolution with CIBIL? Normally it’s for correction/updation in your data, but same can be used for CIBIL itself.

    As you are not having any past credit record, that’s why you are facing this issue. I have applied for my own report 2 times & get it e-mailed both time without any worry. Yes I’m running a home loan as well as 2 CCs so my credit history is there. 🙂

    Same thing happened to me.

    I applied for credit report even though I do not have any credit card/loan, Initially i got the same message, after uploading the specified documents They sent me my credit information with the queries(i.e. if a bank search cibil for my report it will mark as query) and charged 170 rupees, and deposited remaining money back to me, as I have no credit score.

    I applied for a Home Loan with no credit history for 30 Lakhs with ICICI, and guess what, It got APPROVED in one week.

    An update.

    I uploaded the documents required and have received the following emails.

    1)
    Dear Customer,We have successfully located your report but authentication is not available.Request you to kindly upload here your KYC compliant Identity and Address proof along with the attached On-Line Payment Confirmation form. You can alternatively mail these documents to us to the address mentioned at the bottom of the email.We will process your request in 7 business days from the date of receipt of your request, subject to complete documentation. For any queries on the status of your request, you can write to us with your Transaction ID at info@cibil.com after 7 business days.Best Regards,CIBIL- Consumer Relations
    Address: Consumer Relations: Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited, Hoechst House, 6th Floor, 193, Backbay Reclamation, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400 021, India.

    This was after I uploaded my documents and was told that they were UNABLE to find my records even though they mentioned in the first mail that they HAVE FOUND my records, but needed authentication for address. I demanded a refund and this is what I received. A format was attached for bank declaring that my address was genuine.

    Dear Sir,

    With reference to your mail, we want to inform you that the fees once paid are non-refundable. The same is also mentioned in the CIR Application form.

    We would also like to inform you that we regret our inability to process your request as the address provided by you is not present in our records. Hence, we request you to kindly provide confirmation letter from your Credit Institution in order to process your request. The format of the confirmation letter is enclosed for your reference.

    Please note that your CIBIL TransUnion Score (Including CIR) will be despatched at the address mentioned in the Credit Institution’s confirmation letter.

    We apologize for the delay in responding to your email.

    Thanking you and assuring you of our best services always.

    After the above email, I sent them a mail asking if I need to upload any documents and no reply came from their side for last two days. I uploaded the documents again. This is what they have replied today.

    Dear Sir,

    We thank you for your recent request to obtain your CIBIL TransUnion Score (Including CIR).

    However, we regret our inability to process your request as the address provided by you is not present on the CIBIL Report.

    We request you to confirm the address/es provided by you to the Credit Institution/s at the time of applying for loan / credit card. We would like to inform you that your Credit Report request will be processed on receipt of the information and subject to the address provided matching with our records.

    Kindly quote the above mentioned Service Request Number in your future communication with us.

    Thanking you and assuring you of our best services always.

    Best Regards,

    Enclosed is a format for Bank to declare that the address mentioned by me is correct. I was surprised that even after uploading my address proof, I am being told to dance as per CIBIL’s tunes.

    When I went to bank, they said they do not entertain such requests and are not bound to give an address proof certificate to anyone who walks in there. I agree with them. What is the point of asking for the documents when the bank has to verify my details?

    I am really fed up with this CIBIL thing and I just want my peace of mind and money, if possible, back. They do not even have a customer care number for resolving any queries. It seems like I am talking to a bot sitting on the other side of the system.

    Looking for some guidance here.

  9. They do not have your authentication detail ?

    Do you have some kind of loan or credit card or not ? Its very unlikely that they do not have your records if you have some loan .

      Thanks for the reply Manish. Actually I have never had on me any loan or kept a credit card. I have read at many places that no credit information makes my CIBIL score low. I am planning to take a home loan next year so thought it would be wise to know where I stand right now and what I need(if any) to do now, so that I do not have to suffer at the eleventh hour.

      1. Which means you do not have any CIBIL report or score . thats why this all is happening .

        You should get a credit card now and start using it , so that by the time you want a home loan, you have built some credit history !

          Any suggestions? I am also looking forward to get a credit card, just looking for some good options according to my needs.

            Can you please share that what will be default CIBIL score if one doesn’t have any credit history.

            Navneet – You probably did not answer those authentication questions correctly. Please upload your documents and you should receive your report and the score with in 2 days.

            ManMohan – If you don’t have the history, you will get a score of -1.
