ONI came across this card – HDFC EasyShop Gold Debit Card where they mentioned that we can save while we shop with 1% CashBack on all shopping at merchant outlets and online. There is a limit however, Rs 750/month. I was wondering where is the catch here ?
Our monthly spends such as groceries, fuel, medicines etc. easily cross Rs. 18000. Plus it mentioned that it is applicable for online spends as well. So does it mean that when I pay my utility bills or pay off my loan debts, I can use this card to get cashback ?
Can someone please enlighten me ?

Dear Prince, if you are ok with it. Go ahead.
Thanks

Dear Prince, the devil lies in details. Please read the detailed T&C of the card. The annual fee for the card is 500 Rs.
Thanks
Ashal
That is still ok. Lets assume someone spends almost all expenses such as medicines, groceries, loan debts, online purchases, fuel, utility payments which cost about Rs. 50000 per month. That would save Rs. 500 per month or Rs. 6000 per year. Even if Rs. 500 is paid as annual fee, Rs. 5500 is a good cashback. Is there any other catch ?
