   Hi Srinivas,

   As per my experience opt for any insurance for your mobile only when you are sure that you would be able to lodge an FIR. Generally in India Police don’t agree for FIR and rather ask you to write a letter to Police that your mobile is misplaced by you/ lost by you without mention of theft. Insurance company will process your claim only if you provide them a copy of FIR.

   Dear Srinivas, please purchase one from the general insurer of your choice. Be it from PSU or any pvt. one.
