Can I switch from my ELSS to some other fund after lock in period is over

Hi,

I have an ELSS of L&T tax advantage (g) whose lock in period is over. I don’t want to invest lumpsum for longer period. Can I switch to SIP in diversified balanced fund? Pls suggest.

    Hi chaks,

    Do you mean transferring that ELSS money in tyo some other fund or starting a fresh SIP? you can do both. To transfer the ELSS to other fund, you can go for STP. Talk to the fund house and they can suggest the paper work needed.

    Yes. you can switch to diverified fund if you are planning for long term.
