Can I get Medical reimbursement later at the time of filing returns ?

POSTED BY srinivast ON March 28, 2014 9:22 am ONE COMMENT

Dear All,

My medical bills unable  to reach current working company head quarters before cut off date. Due to this, my medical reimbursement income is going to be taxable. Can I claim those bills while filing IT returns or  any other mode is there to claim ? Also is the limit restricted only Rs 15,000 for self & parents ?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Srinivas

Dear Srinivas, you can claim the benefit at the time of filing ITR. You need not to attach those bills with ITR. Yes the limit is 15000 Rs. only for tax free reimbursement from employer.

    Thanks

    Ashal
