    Hello,
I have PPF account in SBI. All these days I use to transfer money from my NRE account (while opening PPF I am not a NRI !). Recently I transferred my PPF account to other SBI branch (so new IFC code). Now If I want to transfer money should I use this new branch’s IFC code or old SBI branch IFC code?
    Thanks for your reply.

    hi Friends,

Can anybody tell me that if i registered for core banking in sbi, will I be able to use MICR number of any SBI bank all over India?

    thanks.

  6. Dear Sandhu, thanks for the update. Instead of visiting any branch of SBI in Chennai, I already asked to use netbanking facility of any bank & invest from there. I think it’s OK to you that one is investing from his home or office using netbanking & not visiting physically to any branch.

    Thanks

all respected super fast friends and experts,

    my humble request……..

do not be too fast and too prompt to answer unless 1000% sure, there are no rewards ????

SBI is ” core bankink solution ” implemented bank. do not worry even if term is not known.

in SBI or any core banking solution enabled bank , it is possible to do any activity like cash deposit, pass book updation etc in any branch all over india in simmilar fashion as is done in home branch. (some fee / charges may be applicable)

so u can deposit cash in your PPF a/c any where and update PPF passbook anywhere in india as u do in your home branch.

I HAVE DONE IT MANY TIMES.

    thanks

    thanks

  8. Dear Sumeet, do you have netbaking facility in Chennai for any account? If yes is your answer, enroll your PPF account in that account for net transfer & transfer the amount just like a routine net transfer.

    Thanks

      Will do the same.

  9. Yes, you can deposit cash/cheque in any branch of SBI. I did this last year myself for my PPF account (Account in Chennai Cash deposited in Mumbai).

  10. Get your netbanking for Chennai branch and add the PPF acc as third party acc to make transfers.

Not possible otherwise (unless you have someone in Lucknow to physically do it for you).

      Dear sir

Am trying to add the PPF account of my chennai SBI branch (velacherry) but not sure what the IFSC code is. Also, I checked with Adyar branch whether they will accept my PPF remittance, but they direct me to go to velachery branch. Any help please?
