POSTED BY arnaz ON October 7, 2013 12:53 pm COMMENTS (3)

I have a PPF account with SBI. which was to be maturing this year.I went for extension. they said its extended by default and gave back the form.

I even deposited 1000/-rs after that. But i have read that by default its without subscription. then how did they allow to deposit?

will it create any problems in future?

Please help.

Dear Arnaz, please ask the SBI people to provide in written that account has been extended with out your initmation for the same in Form H. This ‘ll save you from issues later on.

    Hi,

Account was opened in 1997. so it completed 15 years. she could see in her system that its extended till 2018. But whether its with subscription or not i doubt. As i read that by default its without subscription. but they are not understanding this and told me no need of form H.

Dear Arnaz, either your term of initial 15Y has not been completed or the SBI people have misguided you. Without applying the continuation in form H, you can not subscribe in your PPF account.

    Thanks

    Ashal
