Dear Mr.Kumar,
All the data stored and maintained by CIBIL is reported by lending institutions to it on a periodical basis. CIBIL plays the role of a depository system and hence cannot modify any information unless authorised and confirmed by the respective lending institution.
To correct any erroneous data appearing on you credit report, you would have to first raise a dispute with CIBIL on https://www.cibil.com/consumer-dispute-resolution. The bureau would then coordinate with the respective lending institution and update its database based on the corrected information reported by the lending institution on a monthly cycle. Depending on the error, the bureau could also ask you to directly contact the lending institution.
