ONI have some stocks from 2004 era which could never get sold even in Jan-2008, Nov-2010 and could never get sold above the purchase price in the entire future. If I sell those today at market rate, I will incur Long Term Capital Loss.
What are the best ways to offset Long Term Capital Loss? Long Term Capital Gains are anyway tax-free if the securities are listed on stock exchange and STT paid. So what do we do with the Long Term Capital Loss and with what do we offset it.

Dear Bunker, as the LTCG are tax free after payment of STT LTCL’ll be ignored. To offset LTCL you should sell these shares off market.
Thanks
